The women of Agape's faith based residential treatment program have been responding well to See Horse Miami's Equine Therapy. Using horses to open up their hearts and minds, break throughs are encouraging hope. The horse responds honestly and accurately to the women's interactions when given particular tasks. The horse mirrors their behavior, which facilitates questions designed to help reveal hidden behavioral issues. Identifying the issues helps the women better understand their buried pain at a level where talk therapy does not always open that door. Most of the time they have no idea what has led them down the road of making poor choices and drug addiction. Once the issues have been identified, the women have a ha moments. They feel a sense of hope in understanding the exact nature of their issues. The breakthroughs are incredible to witness.
